My mechanic made the plate himself, out of 0.020" aluminum. After
removing the nose cowl from the airplane we cut the plate out to the
proper
shape to cover the hole in the nose cowl. We then drilled holes in the
four
corners of the plate for #6 machine screws, and located the nut plates in
the

nose cowl from the holes in the plate. We installed the nut plates and
put a

layer of duct tape on the back of the cover plate to keep it from
scratching
the nose cowl, and re-installed the nose cowl on the airplane. My Coupe
is
polished aluminum, so I polish the plate also. You could paint yours to
match your paint job. This took about 1 hour altogether, so I guess you
could say it costs $25.00. I remove it when the outside air temp. is
above
40 degrees or if my oil temp. is above 185 degrees.
