The right tank in my coupe had a "slight" ooze.  It looks as though it's been fixed SEVERAL times by sloshing.  Now comes the time to fix it right.  The problem is that first we have to remove the old sealant that is now coming loose and creating a problem.  We're removing the end of the tank, then stripping the inside, repairing the leak, and then sealing it correctly.  If I were you, I'd make the current owner repair it correctly prior to purchasing.  Wish I'd done it that way.  I saw the leak, He agreed to fix it.  Now I've got to fix it right.  Make certain a certified shop does the work.

He said he will have it fixed by sloshing, but he wants to know what type
fuel (avgas vs mogas) the buyer is going to use.

Question:  If I buy it, and have it sloshed for avgas (80 octane is
available on my field) and I someday need or want to use mogas, what
then?

I have seen the topic covered here before, but can't find my files.

Also, it has rudder pedals, which I really didn't want. Is it much of a
task to remove them or should I just ignore them? I understand from a
number of sources that they are by and large ineffective.

Appreciated your input.
