A lot of people complain that the AOPA focuses on Citations and such, while leaving us little guys as sort of curiosities.
However, I think one of the strengths of the AOPA is that virtually all of the working pilots in America belong. And a lot of those guys who drive 767s across the Atlantic all week have a PA15 or 11AC waiting at home on the weekend. Together, we make one helluva loud voice in DC. Even the politicians are in awe of the airline pilots. It's one of the opportunities for an Ercoupe driver to have an MD80 jock give him a real helping hand in keeping flying.
