Gang, we removed the Cessna oil filter adapter and the AP found it to be
in
excellent condition. It appeared to not have been properly installed (the
nut was not snugged down to the proper 50-60 lb.). It worked well for 10
years, but finally loosened up. It never did leak.

So now there is torque seal on it per the AD, and everything is properly
inspected per the AD and logged. I will cut the filter every time from now
on, and glance at the torque seal during preflight.

We possibly could have avoided loosening up the right mag, but chose to
move
it aside to facilitate getting in with torque wrench and fingers.
