Bill, the $9,000 price was at Oshgosh three four years ago. I had six ercoupes at that time and they just started making them. I was thinking of putting the 125 Franklins, the 15 gal tanks, cleveland brakes, extended baggage compartment in the planes and reselling them as a newer plane. I was going to let the new owners do the paint, interior and radios. I was going to sell them for 39,000 at that time. When the wing AD came out I put a hold on it. I wanted to see how bad the AD would be on sales. I thought the paper work on the Franklins would have been done by now and I wanted to see 25 or so of them in planes to see how they worked out. So I have been waiting. I wanted to use new engines but I may do the same thing but use the 100 hp cont. if the Franklins get to high and costly. If I do it I would also put in the new spars, so the cost starts to get high again, but I'll wait till the wing AD dies down a bit and go from there. gene
