Gene, Your out of touch. $12,000. is a big bunch of money that most of us just have not got. You get about $00000000 ON an investment like that. You start with an Ercoupe worth say $14,000. + as you say $12,000. = $26,000 For a C or D. No body I run with would be paying a price like that. I'll show you Two Ercoupes that have over $30,000 in them One sold for $20,000. That in my book is called a $10,000 lose. Plus labor the owner put in his self. The other one
may be on the market soon. For about the same price but that not one I'll talk about till after it sells. I love my Ercoupes. But I'm not going to the poor house over them. IF YOU HAVE THE FUNDS go for it. But don't tell others to be spending their money on a deal that if your lucky will return 50%. It may be tuff for you to understand but most Ercoupe cry when and annual cost over a few hundred Dollars. And Fifteen hundred is like next to having to stop flying. I still work. And there are a lot of weekends I don't fly because Gas cost to much. Just to burn up and go nowhere. When and if ever I retire then my airplane goes on the market. They plain cost TO MUCH.
