I have been in contact with UNIVAR's Bob White about creating a kit to extend the baggage compartment back to the rear window bulkhead where the plastic name "Aircoupe" appears. This was a factory option and can be converted using original factory drawings and PMA parts supplied by UNIVAIR. A 337 form will have to be filled out by your I/A which states simple, "Baggage area installed as per factory drawings and Kit supplied by UNIVAIR." He can sign this off, It DOES NOT NEED AN FAA APPROVAL! Univair will agree to manufacture a MINIMUM ORDER of 11 kits for $350 each, plus freight to Dover, Delaware. Delaware does NOT have a sales tax, therefore NO SALES TAXES are applicable. I will assume the responsibility of collecting the 11 checks (Made out to UNIVAIR for $350.00) and sending them off. They want 4-6 weeks to turn out the finished product. I will also take the responsibility of re-packing the kits for shipment to each party involoved. However, you are responsible for the freight. UNIVAIR WILL NOT SHIP OUT IN 11 LOTS, THE AGREEMENT IS ONE PARTY PAYS AND ONE SHIPMENT. UNIVAIR IS ALSO NOT INTERESTED IN MAKING ADDITIONAL KITS AFTER THIS ORDER IS FILLED. YOU MUST ORDER NOW TO GET ONE OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONVERT AT A LATER DATE. IT IS NOW OR NEVER! At this point I have five (5) firm orders. I need a minimum of six (6) more.
