Don, I think we should support our own planes. If we take a twin we'll have to support it! If we only get 3-4 planes to go, we could have (4) 55 gal drums of car gas as a fuel stop. (4) 15 gal tanks on the planes would be easy to install. Install (2) electric fuel pumps as back up to the engine pump. Use header tank for oil. I have flown with this much weight off a 5000 elevation airstrip. It was cold out 5 degrees, I rolled over 4500' on a 6000' airstrip. We have to sell this to a sponsor if we use drop tanks they may not go for something like that. gene V. Childs wrote:
