I guess I should clarify, I have 55 hours in the ercoupe and a lot more in other things. At 6874 (Meadowlake arpt 00V ) I figure my ground speed at touchdown to be about 75 to 80 mph for and indicated airspeed of about 70 mph. In a cross wind on dry runways at this altitude it takes a light touch to get it right. Remember indicated airspeed is relative only the ground speed increases. On an 80 degree day I use about 1800 ft to lift off I find 75 is good and climb out at 100 to 150 fpm, (a 172 with 2 on board will do about 250- 300 ) The Ercoupe is an amazing plane, I flew it with my son to the east coast and back in August, 15 hours there and 19 back. Real barn storming, sleeping under the wing or in the FBO office. A nice flight. I was wondering with winter coming (we really don't get that much snow here) what this steed was like on "braking action nil" conditions, I suspect it would be a hand full. Thats to all for your posts
