Pete, I have had no problems in landing the 2 control coupe in slipery 
runways with X winds.....BUT I HAVE NOT tried it on ICE, or packed snow.

I don't fly in those conditions.

Still I think the Coupe would be better than any tail dragger in that type

condition as the CG is in front of the main gear ---helping the coupe to
go 
straight down the runway; where-as a tail dragger, with CG behind the main

gear becomes a real problem in wanting to swap ends.....(even on dry 
pavement) :).
