      When I bought 2417H, the trim tab was extremely hard to move as
well. I 
found that the trim cable had been incorrectly installed at the lever end.
It 
wouldn't "swivel" as the lever was moved along it's arc, so the cable
would 
bind. I have the trim lever that is on the pilots side interior wall. (not
on 
the panel as some are). I'd look behind that cover first and make sure
things 
are free. 
      For years, on my motorcycles, I have used a "cable luber" device
that 
clamps on to the sheathing around the cable and uses the pressure from the

can of lubricant to shoot it all the way to the cable end. Anyone use one
of 
these on an aircraft?? seems like it would work well..
