In addition to the mouse bait and traps. I have made out of sheets of metal flashing a ring that circles the tires and fasten together with Velcro. Does not allow the mice to climb up into the airplane. Takes about 10 minutes to put them around the tires after flying.
The sheets are 10" inches high and are placed around each wheel. Jim Palmer
