Hi Syd,
I've seen you here on 'the list' so often that I assumed you had a
coupe. (So much for 'assuming')(have you heard the story about the word
assume? Break it down...when you 'ass-u-me' something you make an "ass"
out of "u" and "me".) I guess I just proved that to be true didn't I?
Joa is a member of our club, The "Oregon Ercoupe Erforce". I'm
glad he
gave you the chance to ride in a coupe. We try really hard to promote
coupes, safe flying and fun.
If you'd like to join our group let me know, (I'm the Oregon wing
leader for EOC) and I'll send you an application form. It'll cost you $3
for the remainder of this year and then it'll cost you $10 to renew for
next year if you like it. This will get you a newsletter each month and
you'll know where each fly-in will be and any other interesting
information that I run across as well as frequent "coupes for sale".
You'll get first shot at them, before they actually go 'on the market'.
For instance, one of our members just died of lung cancer last month and
I got his coupe annualled for his widow and it's sold already, another
member bought it. (This saved her all the grief and hassle of dealing
with it during her time of sorrow. She just called me and I handled it
for her.)
We have lots of 'connections' for CFI's, AP's, AI's, new and used
parts, etc. But mainly we just meet for lunch once a month and have a
good time exchanging stories, experiences and information.
If you're interested in joining send me your mailing address and
I'll
send you the form.
