There are a number of slide-in MK12 replacements. Narco
makes one (though I'd hesitate to buy Narco as I hear their
repair policies make them hard to get fixed in the field).
The folks who make the MX-series of radios also have a MK12
replacement version which is comparable to their MX300 replacement
for the ARC radios.

Avionics West has a sale going on the standard King (KT76) transponder.
They're so ubiquitous that you could really do a lot worse than to have
one
of them in place. 06H has an old Terra transponder which fits in a round
instrument hole. It does the job. The only thing I really envy in
transponders
is one of the (fancier) King's ability to display the encoder's pressure
altitude
digitally. Nice alternative to a second altimeter.

If it were me, however, I'd probably forgo the NavCom in favor of one of
the
nice new GPS/COMs. Unless you REALLY REALLY need a VOR receiver
(such as to get your instrument rating) a GPS with a database will let you

fly to any VOR in somewhat the same fashion. I've even found that the GPS
removes my urge for a DG. With a one-second refresh, the GPS provides
auto-wind-corrected heading information that is more than adequate!

By the way, 06Hs COM is a Valcom 760 (TSO). Cheap as dirt, it works.
