Ken,

At the top of the sliding windows track...on the front track, remove the
screws and plate..... This allows you to slightly twist the window and
pull
it out of the tracks.

Be careful and do only when warm --above 70 deg or so. They crack
easily....

Removal is just the opposite, except, pull the window into place be
careful
not to buckle, or it will crack...

from the Ercoupe manual ---" To remove sliding windows, remove 2
sliding-hatch stops (if installed) on top of frames C and D, and remove
access cover plate secured by 2 PH screws on top of frame C. Slide old
window through opening left in frame C, cocking slightly forward to free
window from frame D."

"To install new window, place lower rear corner of window into welt of
frame
D, and gently slip forward edge of window thru access hole betweeen welts
on
frame C, and pull downward. Reinstall access cover plate and hatch stops."

Be careful, and do it when its warm...Have fun, it really goes pretty well
if
the welts are in good shape - If they are not in good shape, replace
them...
