high everyone   
a week or so ago I had a brand new left exhaust header pipe replaced on my

coupe and at that time did a mini annual as it's nice to get in there with

the mechanic and make sure that everything is  OK so we removed all the
plugs 
and they looked really great except that  the center electrode  on several
of 
them looks oblong or they look well used while there we did a compression 
check all looks good so far so good no reason to think otherwise  so
looked 
aroud alittle more  things look very tight and snug as they should we put
on 
the  header pipe and then used some solution on the engine to clean it
down 
not that it was dirty just that like  most of you guys i like clean 
everything 
the header pipe was purchased at univair . A week or so goes by and we
have 
some rain here in Ill so after the rain I needed an altitude adjustment so

off to the airport I went get out my checklist and began when I got to the

left engine side I gazed at my new pipe it is full of RUST IN A LOT OF
PLACES 
I'm not a happy camper  I called Univair they will replace it minus any
labor 
incurred--- great- double the cost of the install and reinstall
I should have  gone stainless maybe I will with the exchange unless you
the 
great coupe collective(trekkies) have a spray that inhibits the rust and
is 
heat sensitive  you know what I mean
any way thats the  story   
another question how much play should we have in the MLG pivot
knuckle
