Tom,
A short time back I noticed the nosewheel tire appeared low. I brought it
up to 21 lbs. of pressure and a shimmy showed up. So, on the advice of a
knowledgeable friend I lowered the pressure to 17 lbs. and most of the
shimmy disappeared, but not all. When the tire was low it didn't shake at
all. Next I pulled the cotter keys out of the slotted nuts on the
scissors
noting the position of the keys. The nuts required tightening only two
notches past the original position. No more shake and shimmy.
I have stayed with 17 lbs. pressure in the nose with no further problems.
