I love this discussion on GPS. I do GPS seminars on GPS for thr FAA and the whole point of the program is safety of course. I title it "How to fly GPS and still keep your head out of the cockpit.. The article was writtenh up in Coupe Capers some time ago and is still reprinted by the FAA for handouts at Sun n Fun and Oshkosh.....
The safety point being the the safest and most rewarding way to fly is by PILOTAGE snd leave the GPS for a backup. This way each and every flight will be not only safe but an advbenture as well. As for the choice of wich one is best, as in everything else in your coupe, buy the best one you can afford..
