Gary: I think you'll find that the answer to both questions is "no"!! The Metal wings are heavier, reducing your useful load, and creating some other less desirable handling characteristics, and a greater possibility of corrosion. The rudder kit only gives you 5 degrees of rudder. In this man's opinion, the two control, fabric winged ercoupe is the "funnest" to fly. Others may give you more specifics, but I think you'll find the above generally true.
