Hi Everyone

I have a question concerning the elevator control horn on my 46 Coupe.
I've
read much information on rigging the elevator but haven't run across
anything explaining the 2 holes in the elevator control horn where the
control arm/rod attaches to it. There is one hole located at the radius of
the control horn, and a second at the end of the horn(where my control rod
is attached). Can someone shed some light on the two holes?

Also, I've noticed that my elevator seems to have MUCH more up travel than
the 9 degrees prescribed for a C model converted to a D model as mine. The
elevator travels well beyond the 13 degree factory reference hole in the
inner skin of the rudder. When I apply full up elevator, power off, I slow
to about 45 MPH and get a pretty good pre-stall buffet with the nose
slowly
cycling up and down if I hold it full up. This is the only Coupe I've
ever
flown so I have little to compare it with. The stall obviously seems quite
benign compared with all other aircraft I've flown. I have 2 questions:

1) Is it common to find the elevator rigging on the Coupes so far off?
2) What is a Coupe supposed to feel like when held full nose up with power
off, should it enter a stall buffet?

Thanks For Your Help!
Roger
