The fuselage tank outlet walve on the ercoupe has an integral
finger screen. It is a cylindrical screen about 2.5" long with a brass
ring on one end. On the valves that I have seen the brass ring slips
into the tank side of the valve and is soldered in place. If the isn't
a screen on your valve check the tank because it's probably rolling
around inside. It's very important to replace that screen or
contaminants large enough to block the fuel lines can enter the fuel
system.
