Strange this subject came up.

A pilot flying from Hawaii to Monterey, just set one in the ocean. The
coast
guard said it was a twin engine Navaon. or close to that.

The first report said it ran out of gas some 15 miles short of the
Monterey,
airport off cypress point.

Pictures, taken by the coast guard showed her afoat then nosed over and
went
down with one wing in a up position.

The pilot inflated a raft that was in the plane... he claimed engine
trouble...
I would guess so if the fuel that runs it was not getting to it due to
empty gas
tanks. He was delivering the plane to its, new owner.

Can not help but wonder if the NTSB. will send divers to see what if any
thing
but sea water is in the tanks.???
