I have to concur...don't be harsh on yourself...I fell for it to and am laughing too!
I started calculating feverishly how much more I would be able to take on a trip, and then going back and saying to myself, "This can't possibly be true! The FAA would *never* approve something THIS FAST. They would wait for 10 years before they did anything!"
