Please keep up the misinformation on how "tuff" the coupe is in a cross wind.
and the crud about side load on the gear.... or even better how the gear casters.

I am looking to purchase another coupe and the prices are not quite low enough for me to justify spending more than $5,000 for a real cherry one.  I know that "flying lawn chairs" are going for a lot more than that, but since no one wants a SCARE COUPE, and I have been called crazy... what the heck.

For the non-owners that are thinking about the coupe, I too was scared of it before I flew it.  I was lucky my coupe came with a CFI, and AI, so check out and maintenance is no problem.  After 4 landings and a Stall series I was off on my own and I had not flown for 5 years. and yes we had a 20-30 kt cross wind that day.

I did have one wing lift that surprised me.  But the book sez do not do anything and the wing will settle... and it did.

I have a '46-D with a 0-200 and NO-Peddles (I have a set in a box that help increase the resale value) Every time I fly the coupe I have to step back and think what a marvel she is.
