I like it that way on a taildragger, but on something with the 
prop as low as an Ercoupe I like it at TDC at about 4:00 as viewed from
the 
cockpit.  I find it easier to pull through while stepping to the right
as viewed from the front, facing the prop.  It seems to work better
for bigger engines, at least for me.

I wouldn't want to hand prop an engine as low as the Ercoupe in the 
usual way (pulling down) because I'd have to lean toward it.
