thought I'd put this out to the group another couper who had a question about his winter oil temp actually year round his oil temp barely gets past 100 so he had his probe and the guage replaced did the test on the new one and the old one and found them to be close 10 degrees or so but opted to put in the new one anyway His engine has the metal shroud in front of the oil sump which I thought would help heating alittle he also put on the trusty winterization kit but the temps aren't warm enough. any thoughts on this it is cold in Ill and Wis
oh, one more thought, do you think that covering the cylinders a little more would help (experiment with the duct tape method) you all in the warmer climates aren't missing the storms we are having here in the midwest are you we could send some of the cold to you or send some snow (get the drift) ha,ha thax for the help his is a 48 split elevator with a 250 or so hrs on it thanx dennis 99564
