Hello!
I think the problem is not courier-imap
itself.
Everytime Ican´t login the following line appears in ps
aux:
root 2568 0.0
0.0 1496 368 ?
S 13:10 0:00 /usr/lib/courier-imap/sbin/imaplogin
/usr/lib/courier-imap/libexec/authlib/authdaemon /usr/lib/courier-imap/bin/imapd
Maildir
This process lives about 5 sec. I don´t know if this is
normally or if the authdaemon has got some problems executing the
request.
There is another thing that makes my a little bit
nervous....

The imap-server runs as root! In my old installation it
runs as vpopmail.
Is anybody out there who can help me or give my some
hint?!

IN courier-imap config file there is option for max connection ?? plz check your configuration may be the propblem would be there..

I don´t know what do do, but maybe there is some people out there who knows
