AFAIK, courier doesn't support this.  It only supports Esmtp, which 
auth's through the smtp protocol... all the clients that I've checked 
handle this, minus kmail.  Mozilla mail, evolution, outlook's, eudora, 
netscape mail, etc etc...

Anyway, like I said, I don't believe that courier has the ability to 
allow people to relay based on thier <insert auth mod here> authentication.
