[ ... ] 9. Everyone, and their uncle, knows what to do with maildirs. If you go with Cyrus your access to your mail will be limited to Cyrus's tools. If a need arises to access or manipulate your mail in some custom way you'll be able to use many tools out there that work with mail in maildirs.
