I've been running the Courier-MTA package (ESMTP, POP3, sqWebmail)
since January. It has been very stable. I have never seen it crash.
The current set of Courier processes have been up and running
continuously for almost two months with no problems at all.

Theoretically, the server should be able to pick up right where it
left off after a crash. Obviously any open connections will die, but
it shouldn't cause any loss of information. But as I have never seen
Courier crash, this is just theoretical at this point.
