Please bare with me I understand very little of how this all works.
I have installed RedHat9, Apache 2, and the latest version of Courier.
After two installs it seemed I had gotten it right. Everything seems to be running and I got no errors duing install.
I ran all the tests and they worked really well too.
I started webmail and send out many email. I can send mails from one local user on the box to another local user. The inboxes show the mail and everything looks great.
BUT I can't recieve any mail from the outside.
I have forwarded all pots below 200 to this machine from my router.
I have created an MXE record with my domain registrar which points to my ip. (I couldn't figure out the MX record layout, or if I did it still did not work)
I am using the PAM authentication method and I believe I have eveything there but not sure.
I have not installed MySql yet, is that necessary?
What portion of this is responsible for recieving outside mail? I thought it was esmtp, but like I said i don't really understand all this very well.
Please reply as I am wasting tooooooo much time trying to figure it out.
