We're using the esmtproutes file to route mail through a courier mail system to a plain Sendmail system. We seem to be having trouble with one domain and only one user at that domain. Courier routes the mail to the sendmail system correctly, and then sendmail sends it back.
Note that for 11 users at the same domain there is no issue, but for that one user we have constant errors stating too many hops. Its like the sendmail system is ignoring the local hosts file, but only for one user.
Is there an alias on the sendmail server that's redirecting that user's mail? Procmail rules? .forward?
