Hi,

I've recently installed Courier IMAP with SSL capabilities. I've set
things up and it seems to work. IMAPs is listening on port 993 and when
one connects it expects to start with OpenSSL handshaking immediately.
This all seems very normal.

With 'mutt -f imaps://servername/' I can connect and I can see that the
session is set up and my email appears. No errors appear in courier's
logfiles.

When I try the same with Mozilla Mail (or Outlook for that matter...) it
tries to connect but fails. In the logfiles on the server appears:

| Sep 29 14:19:55 geel imapd-ssl: couriertls: accept: error:1408F10B:SSL
| routines: SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version number
| Sep 29 14:19:55 geel imapd-ssl: Connection, ip=[::ffff:w.x.y.z]
| Sep 29 14:19:59 geel imapd-ssl: Unexpected SSL connection shutdown.

I tried setting TLS_PROTOCOL to each of the available values (SSLv2,
SSLv3 and TLS1) but none seem to work for Mozilla Mail & Outlook.

Mutt, ofcourse, has no problem with either of the settings.

I searched google for possible answers, but wasn't succesfull in finding
any. Is someone on this list willing to give me hints to the right
direction?

Thanks,
Sander.
