I have installed Courier-authlib and courier on my RHEL 4 server using
the RPM build process. I've edited the /etc/courier/authpgsqlrc file
with:
PGSQL_HOST 127.0.0.1
PGSQL_PORT 5432
PGSQL_USERNAME courier
(Just the start of the customization. I don't feel like posting
PGSQL_PASSWORD...). But POP3 connections are not working, and when I
enable DEBUG and look at the results I see:
Jul 12 12:34:15 8ballmail authdaemond: Connection to server
'pgsql.example.com' userid 'admin' database 'template1' failed.
Jul 12 12:34:15 8ballmail authdaemond: could not translate host name
"pgsql.example.com" to address: Name or service not known.
So I see that it's trying to use the default settings, and not looking
at what I have configured in the file. Can someone help me with what
I'm missing?
