We definitely do barter our space for work that's needed. Our website dev, for example, comes and works in exchange for the services he does in maintaining our site.
We also do a similar exchange of services for our conference room/ event space. If people host workshops for our members, we'll let them use the conference room to provide a workshop that is profitable for them.
