Greetings Fellow Members of the Global Coworking Movement! Just wanted to introduce myself to the group.
I'm a corporate IT slave turned digital nomad working as a freelance consultant helping small businesses understand social media. Right now I'm in Vientiane, Laos, volunteer teaching English at the Sunshine School - a school for kids kindergarten through to early high school age. Anyways, I lived in Toronto for the past 3 years and had the privilege of seeing several coworking spaces in action. I spent some considerable time at the Center for Social Innovation (socialinnovation.ca) and I am inspired by their unique model for fostering collaboration and innovation. My dream is to create a similar space in Australia - somewhere the social enterprise community can get together, challenge, grow and innovate. I met the Community Manager for Longbranch Coworking space late last year and he put me onto this group (thanks Craig!). I also discovered another friend in Toronto - Tm - is a part of this group today. So I'm here to learn, connect and be of service in any way I can.
