We bought a vintage wooden phone booth on Craigslist and it's a great piece of furniture, but as others have pointed out, makes a pretty unfunctional phone booth.
We've also converted a closet into a more functional phone booth that gets used a lot - the key to making it suitable was foam acoustic insulation.
