You could always use a pre=made wireless->wifi booster (or just a straight up 3g/4g booster) from sparkfun.com, or go a little more pro and buy something that turns it into a hotspot. Fonero has a great model that works with most carriers but there's a new one on the market for under 20 bucks USD (though it's shipped fro the UK) - http://www.joiku.com/
Check it out. Just make sure you have the unlimited data plan first. :P If it's just indoor cell service you need extended you can get yet again a cheapo home-made one from boulder's own sparkfun.com or a professional one like this for $50, works with all carriers - http://www.sjtelecommunications.com/pho-ant.html Here's a page full off various ones on newegg ranging from 50 bucks to 500 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000168&IsNodeId=1&Description=booster&name=Cell%20Phone%20Accessories&Order=BESTMATCH I know the sparkfun version doesn't register with specific phones until you actually use it... so multipe people can be on their phones through the repeater at the same time.
