As David says it would be a terrible loss to the vareity of platforms
and environments we have. However, we have moved as quickly as we can to
move to the HTTP submission mechanism to avoid as much pain as possible
for the perl.org admins.

As we have concentrated on server side changes, the client side updates
have largely centred on ensuring they can talk to the new system, rather
than providing the installation tools to correctly setup a smoker for
you. This will come.

We do need to update the documentation, but for many of us, after over 6
months free time effort on this, we're having to accommodate family,
work and other projects at the moment. As such any help with the wiki
would be very much appreciated.
