Hi folks, Just so you are all aware. The CPAN Testers server suffered a problem with the RAID array on the SATA disks yesterday morning at 03:05 UTC. Unfortunately it wasn't until this morning that we discovered that the problem was the RAID array :(
Steven from Bytemark has been a great help, helping me to diagnose the problem. The array is now rebuilding, but it's running very slow, and as such I've turned off all CPAN Testers services running on the box, to help the rebuild be less stressed. There are a few services still running, but if you can avoid using them for the time being, that would be great. As it is a bank holiday in the UK today, we're going to get the regular data centre staff take a look at the disk tomorrow morning, and if they advise a new disk, we'll get it replaced. The fact that the rebuild is running very slowly, that's probably a good indicator we should get it replaced. I'll post/tweet once we have sites back up and running. Note that this does not affect the Metabase server, and all CPAN Testers reports can be submitted as normal. It is just the data extraction and report displays that are affected.
