For what it's worth, you shouldn't need to edit the `configure' script for
this.

At configure time, the `configure' script checks for the Perl modules that will
be needed.  If a Perl module is not found, the configure script will print a
warning, but the script does not abort.

Also, the current git version of C-Reduce will run even if you don't have the
Sys::CPU module installed.  (The configure-time warning is still there; I
haven't decided what to do about this yet.)
