I mean whatever the version that is on maven.eclipse.org doesn't have staging support, I am not sure if that is only in the commercial version or not anymore, I just know its on the version at oss.sonatype.org and its a make or break feature for me (personally, I can't speak for others, I just know I'll never advice moving to a release deployment mechanism for jetty that doesn't involve a staging type functionality). We have a workable solution right now so there has to be some compelling reason to switch to maven.eclipse.org completely. Deploying our snapshots would be reasonable but that adds another repository into the mix and we already have everything setup to deploy snapshots to the jetty repository at oss.sonatype.org, we just have to deploy them manually right now. Igor's idea of having a nightly job push would be nice for us but according to wayne that is a big no-no.
