Or is it just a good practice. Adopters can still decide if an optional dependency should be installed or not, by filtering it from the build target platform and Eclipse user can filter/deactivate the corresponding repository and so use a subset of project p2 repositories. However, I don't want to convince you, that optional greedy make sense or not (by the way it was a default for years), I'd like that people accept, that this is a valid combination and don't nag on projects, who use it. :p > Thanks, > You are welcome. > > > > > > > <graycol.gif>Dennis Hübner ---05/24/2012 03:19:56 AM---Hi David, > Still > scores of projects that have not bothered to move to a current repo publisher > so t > > From: Dennis Hübner <dennis.hueb...@itemis.de> > To: Cross project issues <cross-project-issues-dev@eclipse.org>, > Date: 05/24/2012 03:19 AM > Subject: Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Yet another nag note ... and, > I mean it this time! > Sent by: cross-project-issues-dev-boun...@eclipse.org > > > > Hi David, > Still scores of projects that have not bothered to move to a current repo > publisher so there are hundreds of incorrect "greediness" attributes. > > Sure there are greedy optional dependencies in the repository, because it > often just intended by projects.
