Now for my next "dumb question". In a Gerrit reference like that, is there some way to "track back" to a bugzilla to read more about it? Or does Gerrit serve as the sole tracking/review/discussion mechanism. Thanks for the education or pointers.
This applies to the EGit/JGit project, other projects may be more strict. If there is a entry in bugzilla we link to it (provided the author or reviewer is aware of it). See https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/7277/ for an example, and we add link in bugzilla back to gerrit. The IP log is based entirely on what's in Gerrit.
