Just submitted a patch to the tracker.
It adds two high-denomination coins: jade (after
Chinese history and many Chinese-themed RPGs such as
Exalted) and amberium (a Zelazny reference, although
this material doesn't exist on his books). One jade
coin = 100 plat; one amb = 100 jade.
Incidentally, thanks to implementation details of
shop.c, this raises the largest possible item value by
a factor of 10000 - it used to be 2^32 plat, now it's
2^32 amb.
Don't know if this is still a concern/issue. But at one time, there was a
strong inclination not to do this - instead, the players were supposed to buy
gems, etc for easy transportation.
