Thanks Alexander! The API level 21 in XWALK-3234 only means the required compile SDK version when you build the apps. Crosswalk 11.40+ requires android-21 to compile to support new APIs, but it doesn't mean the apps must run on Android 5 or higher, it still supports running on minimal API level 14 (Android 4.0 Ice Cream) devices but with minor limitations like https://github.com/crosswalk-project/crosswalk-website/wiki/webapi-support-on-different-versions
