Hi all, I'm sitting in a Cabin in the norwegian mountains (Trysil) and writing this (and I've forgot my dictionary) !! *sigh* :)
Anyway, while driving up here I got a thought. I've seen that some other distro's has a monthly newsletter, telling the community what's going on under the hoods. It would make the development more transparent and make the users feel comfortable about knowing what's going on. I think that this would be obvious in a community like ours. I have a lot of ideas about how to pull this together, and I'll be happy to do the editing and distribute it. Some topics could be: == Public Relations == * Distrowatch * LUG radios * Linux Format and other magazines * Launchpad == The Dev's Corner == * Status of the next release * Status of ongoing community projects * #! CrunchBang Artwork * New docs in Wiki == App Insight == (Indepth review of some application) == Interview with an active forum member == (Schematic questionaire) == Fun talks on IRC == == Monthly screenshot == == User contributed stuff == And what media should be used ? * The Wiki * Email * PDF (link from frontpage) * Forums * HTML page What do you think, would this be a blow in the air or could it be useful ? Well 8 hours of driving make ones head spinning :) -- /Niels Registered Linux user #133791 > Get counted at http://counter.li.org ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So Many Things To Do, And No Time For Nuts ! -- This message was sent by Launchpad via the Contact user/team link on your profile page.
