Pretty easy to tell who it is, there's three Greeks on the faculty but only one does crypto. Given the financial mess in Greece, it's perfectly reasonable to make contingency plans for running the financial system if they get booted out of the Euro and have to switch back to the drachma on short notice. The crypto hackery does seem a bit odd, but nothing in Greece seems to work the way one might expect.
