For testing it's probably more sensible to work off SVN. There's a tag for the 1.0pre1 release and there will be tags for future releases as well, so you can easily change between a release and the "work in progress" SVN branch via "svn switch". Currently, it's most sensible to test 1.0pre1. If you encounter issues that are fixed later on on the 1.0 branch, it's probably a good idea to then switch to the branch to test if the issues were correctly fixed. Pick the cs-win32libs version that is mentioned in the manual of whatever package or SVN branch/tag you use. For 1.0pre1 this is 1.0rc1_001. -f.r.
