My first question would be what issues/fixes? As far as I can tell there are no issues reported regarding choppy sound (just checked trac) and there haven't been any changes to sound renderer/driver code that affects how playback is done since well before 1.0 branch was created, so there isn't any way i can see using latest CS helps in any way.
